our Mission and Purpose
The Cal Young PTO is committed to:
- Supporting and enriching the educational experience of all students and teachers
- Promoting open communication and cooperation among families, school staff, administration, and the community
- Encouraging parent and community involvement in school activities
- Providing financial and volunteer support for school programs, projects, field trips, and events
- Fostering a strong, connected school community that benefits students now and in the future
Membership
Who Can Join
Membership in the Cal Young PTO is open to:
- Parents, guardians, and adults standing in loco parentis for students attending Cal Young Middle School
- School staff, provided they meet eligibility requirements
- PTO Executive Board members and committee chairs
All PTO members must have an approved background check on file with Eugene School District 4J.
Membership Dues
There are no membership dues, unless approved by a vote of the general membership.
PTO Leadership & Board
The PTO is governed by an Executive Board, consisting of elected officers and appointed committee chairs. All board positions serve one-year terms, with elections held annually.
