Volunteer Opportunities

JOIN THE PTO!
We have multiple positions available, and most positions can be co-chaired. We have one-and-done opportunites, positions with regular monthly obligations, and everything in between. We've also expanded our membership to include local church members and Free Masons (after they pass the background check) so we can fill these positions with interested community members as well. Panera Bread Pickup
Every Wednesday the PTO picks up Panera Bread's end-of-day baked goods that didn't sell, and we distribute their donation to Cal Young families in need. We need volunteers to help pick up the food at 8:55 pm every week. SIGN UP

PTO Pick-Me-Up
Once a month PTO volunteers cart treats around the school just for the staff! We need food and drink donations, and 2-4 volunteers to help pass out the goods. SIGN UP

Parent/Teacher Conferences: In November, the PTO hosts one dinner for the teachers during parent/teacher conferences week. We need parent volunteers to contribute food items, and help set up for the big day!

Student Lunch: During lunch parents love to mingle with the students, pass out candy, and check in with the quiet kids to show our support and stay engaged with the students.

Concessions: We often set up a concession table at band/choir concerts, track and field meets, and school activity nights. Please contact us if you'd like to donate snacks or swag to sell, and sign up to volunteer at these tables!

Teacher Appreciation Weeks: We love to celebrate Cal Young staff! Please help us by signing up to donate food/plates/decor, etc. when we host meals, or contribute to staff gifts when we buy specific items to help make their days special.

Licensed Staff Appreciation: May 3rd - 7th 2027
